Ms. Humphrey's practice is focused on personal injury and wrongful death cases.  Ms. Humphrey has both settled and litigated personal injury claims and lawsuits since being hired by Nick Carter in June of 2006.  Her focus is to provide comprehensive and compassionate legal advice and assistance to those that have been injured and the families that have lost loved ones due to someone else’s negligence. 

Ms. Humphrey is routinely contacted by attorneys within and outside of Gillette concerning wrongful death case statutes and procedures.  Ms. Humphrey has devised a procedure to effectively move cases through the court system while genuinely caring for the heirs and family members of those left behind.  Ms. Humphrey is consulted by attorneys and judges alike in this area of law and treats the family members as if they were her own.  Ms. Humphrey has handled some of the largest wrongful death cases in Campbell County in recent memory. 

Ms. Humphrey also prides herself on providing her personal injury clients with a full range of legal services including: handling insurance providers, requesting medical records and billing statements, investigating crashes, handling subrogation lien holders, setting up and arranging medical payment claims through her clients’ carriers, contacting clients’ medical providers regarding outstanding balances, and securing expert witness testimony in a variety of cases.  She provides any number of other services that her clients may require. 

Ms. Humphrey conducts all criminal consultations for The Nick Carter Law Firm, P.C.  Every new client meets with Ms. Humphrey at the beginning of their case.  Ms. Humphrey is able to thoroughly and concisely explain the legal process to all new clients and answers their questions about both the legal system generally, as well as answer specific questions about their case(s) in particular.  

Stephanie Humphrey was born and raised in Kansas.  She graduated from college with her bachelors of science degree in Kansas before moving to Wyoming in 2001.  Ms. Humphrey attended and graduated from University of Wyoming College of Law in 2004 and moved to Gillette shortly thereafter.  For the first two years that Ms. Humphrey practiced law she worked as a Deputy County Attorney at the Campbell County Attorney’s Office.  In June of 2006, she left the County Attorney’s office and joined The Nick Carter Law Firm, P.C.  She has been with The Nick Carter Law Firm ever since.  Ms. Humphrey offers free consultations for both criminal and personal injury cases.
